From a young age , most dream of being a doctor, a lawyer, or a teacher. As a young child, my dreams were consumed with owning a superior show and working dog kennel. At that time it did not matter what breed I selected for my adventure, all dogs were beautiful and bred for reasons that made them useful to man.  I spent many hours studying the breeds, the reason why they were bred, and what made them useful to us.  I collected  stamps, figurines, posters, cards, stationary, photos ; anything that involved the canine world.  I collected breed books, training books, magazines, and videos that would help me absorb the nuts and bolts of the idealistic dog in his native training field.  I grew up with an assortment of dogs that I practiced training with, which included German Shepherds, Dachshunds, and a hand full of mixed breeds rescued from the Houston shelter.  It is amazing how all dogs, regardless of origin, march so wonderfully to a child's ever beating drum.  It has taken us over a decade to be where we are currently with our kennel.  I am blessed to have by my side a supportive husband, Travis of 10yrs , and my understanding, accepting daughter Ashley.  I could not have made this journey alone without either of them. Through the years there has been so much support from friends, family, veterinarians and employers making our growth possible today. We would not have prospered without our undenying devotion, care, cleaning, grooming, exercising, feeding, training and exhibiting. Sacrificing long hours, late nights, weekends,  weekdays, and  with no vacations, in other wards, we live and breath our dogs, 365 days a year.  This has made us what we are today- stronger, knowledgeable, and accomplished in our breed .  We have had a lot of wonderful memories and there has been equally as many bad.  It is because of our experiences that we have gained the wisdom that we have today from our Dobermans. I am grateful for the clients we have met through the years because they have stood by us and believed in our dogs, allowing me to realize a childhood dream.

Von Wolf name was established in the early 1990's, as a breeder, owner, and exhibitor of Champion bred Rottweiler's.  Our Rottweiler foundation started with sons and daughters of  BISS/BIS A/M Ch. Reeds Baron Von Lukegaroo CD, TT, Ch. Lyvngwerths Eric Egos Von Z, and BIS AM/Can. Ch. Blackwood Dante V Lyvngwerth AM/CAN CD.  I attempted to show Banc, my Dante daughter as a novice in the AKC conformation ring.  However, I chose not to continue to exhibit Rottweiler's as  I was not successful with conformation,  nor was their health or reproduction what we had hoped.  Our goal of establishing our own All American conformation Rottweiler was not possible.  Health, coupled with temperament factors encouraged me to embark on a different breed that also focused on working ability, noble appearance, and sound temperament.  We have been enthusiastically into Dobermans since 1998, acquiring some of the finest bred Doberman lines from America, Germany, Belgium, Yugoslavia, Canada, Italy and Columbia.

The All Utility Vehicle:

When I began with Dobermans 1998, I wanted a dog that was superior in trainability, temperamentally sound around children and other dogs, poised in confirmation, noble and correct, as well as short coated.  Soon after acquiring my first Wynterwind bitch, I found that Dobermans exceed my every expectation making them in my eyes the all-Utility Vehicle of the dog world.  The Doberman is a very smart and agile dog that is willing to please and protect, beyond his call of duty.  They are dogs that are very energetic and  versatile, yet stable , loving, and dedicated.  These dogs are perfect for any task that you give them and are willing to train them to do.  Dobermans have excelled in Confirmation, Agility, Schutzhund, French Ring, Obedience, Therapy Work, Search and Rescue, Police Work, Tracking and honored family pets.  There is nothing in this world better than being OWNED, protected and loved by one of these awesome creatures.

Our Kennel

Von Wolf's breeding program has come along way since the 1990's.  We are dedicated in producing Dobermans that are excellent examples of the breed from the combination of American and European lines, 100% American breeding, or 100% European breeding that conform to the standard of their country.  We breed all standard colors ( red, black, blue and fawn), promoting only dilute dogs with healthy full coats throughout their lives.  We do not support or breed WZ factored or albino Dobermans, and have no problem sharing our personal experiences on the subject.  We will not sell pups or adult dogs into homes with intact albinos knowingly. Puppies are produced during the fall and spring months which can be viewed on our available puppy page.  All our pups are guaranteed against congenital defects for 14days and inherited defects for 30 months.  All our dogs regardless of origin make perfect family companions when raised, trained, and socialized properly.
